two.1.4) Short description
Blofield Parish Council has identified funding for three separate projects it is working on.
PROJECT 1: To fully refurbish an existing children's playground in a local community centre located in Blofield off the Yarmouth Road. The play area is approximately 1356.02 metres squared / 0.34 acres, situated within a larger playing field. The refurbishment project involves removal and disposal of all existing play equipment and installation of new play equipment, in two adjoining areas. One play area for under 5's (fenced) and one for older children / teens. Total cost for first phase should not to exceed £150,000.
PROJECT 2: To provide additional, complementary equipment for older children at a playground in a community centre in Blofield Heath that recently refurbished it's under 5's play area. Area available is approximately 1133.85 metres squared / 0.28 acres within a larger playing field. Approximate value for installation of additional items should not exceed £75,000.
PROJECT 3: A new area in a central location in Blofield is being designed from scratch on an existing, level playing field. This will require equipment for all ages that complements the playground equipment in the two existing community centres. It should also include outdoor exercise equipment for adults. Approximate area available is 2964.64 metres squared / 0.73 acres. Value of installation should not exceed £275,000.

6. Arrangements for site preparation.
7. Arrangements for the removal and disposal of foundation soil, materials.
8. Arrangements for any necessary site storage.
9. Welfare facilities.
10. Signage for site works.
11. Full cost breakdown of individual components.
12. Commencement and completion dates (and confirmation of working week / hours.)
13. Recommendations for (similar) items of play equipment identified that have a high RoSPA 'play value'.
