Bloomberg Connects: Drawing Bar is a successful in-gallery installation at Tate Modern in which visitors use a digital sketch pad and see their drawing immediately projected onto the wall.
Although it is not in use at the moment (due to COVID restrictions), there is the opportunity to expand the current installation, not only in the gallery spaces, but also online.
Tate would like to procure a supplier (or suppliers in partnership) with creative and technical expertise to work on a new online drawing game for the Tate Kids platform and an updated in-gallery creative drawing tool/ installation for Tate Modern and Tate Britain. In this brief the online offering will be referred to as ‘Tate Draw’ and the in-gallery element as the ‘Drawing Bar’.
An open and collaborative start to the process is an important element for Tate before the supplier can then develop, design, deliver and install the project (in partnership with Tate).
