WYCA is considering procuring up to 450 second-hand buses on behalf of franchise operators, which must be available prior to the franchise services commencing. The fleet must:

• Diesel buses would preferably be compliant with the Euro 6 emissions standard but Euro V would also be considered.
• Deemed roadworthiness from the most recent annual vehicle test (MOT) and compliant with all relevant UK regulations. Vehicles will have been maintained, excepting any fair wear and tear, in accordance with Good Industry Practice and the Manuals, including all necessary maintenance, inspections, repairs and remedial works.
• No vehicle within the offered fleet to be more than 13 years old at the start of operations, with the average age of fleet to be around 8 years old.

• Be in right hand drive configuration.
• Have one passenger door (conversions from multiple doors would be acceptable)
