Provision of a high quality, confidential and timely Independent Patient Advocacy Services and Independent Mental Health Advocacy Services for adults, children and young people (aged 13-18) in secure and specialised services. On occasion, services will also be provided to Community Children and Adolescence Mental Health Services.

The service provided to patients is free at the point of delivery, impartial and confidential. Advocates will ensure individual patients rights are safeguarded across Rampton Hospital, Arnold Lodge, Wathwood Hospital, in-patient services at The Wells Road Centre and The Lookout at Hopewood.

The Trust intends to award the contract to the existing provider following direct award process C;

Lifetime value of the contract is£1,240,040.

The services are intended to be provided between 01/04/2026 - 31/03/2029.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Together for Mental Wellbeing have been the successful provider at the last three competitive tenders, based on experience, quality, performance and value for money.

This provider has extensive experience of working into secure settings, established patient relationships and understands the individual needs / challenges with our patient cohorts.

During 2025/26, the Provider supported the Trust with its Financial Improvement Plans and working in partnership to achieve a 10% reduction
in the overall contract value.
The Provider continues to consistently meet the KPIs, with the exception of one, which is outside of the Provider’s sphere of control and is reliant on Care Units effectively communicating date changes for Community Meetings.
