Scope
Description
Gateshead Council (the Council) is in the process of renewing its Contract for the Provision of On-Road National Standard Cycle Training (Bikeability), which is due to expire on 1st April 2026.
As part of this process the Council is conducting a Market Engagement Exercise to establish the level of interest in this opportunity, to gather information and improve our understanding of the market.
Suppliers are invited to consider the inquiries detailed within the Market Engagement Questionnaire.
The main objectives of the training to be delivered under this Contract are to:
• Deliver high quality cycle training to Bikeability standards
• Improve cycle skills and road sense
• Increase confidence to cycle
• Create positive perceptions of cycling
• Encourage, enable and facilitate more people to cycle more safely and more often.
