Mental Health Supported Accommodation Pathway is a joint commission between Brighton & Hove City Council and Brighton and Hove Clinical Commissioning Group.
The Mental Health Pathway:
Brighton & Hove City Council in partnership with NHS Brighton & Hove Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) commission three Mental Health Supported Housing services in Brighton and Hove.
These services form part of the Mental Health Supported Accommodation Pathway which offers a range of accommodation with different levels of support for people with mental health needs in Brighton and Hove. The services provide a safe and protected environment whilst encouraging more independence in the future.
The current accommodation is as follows:
Accommodation with high level support
Accommodation with medium level support
Accommodation with medium to low level support.
Higher levels of supported accommodation are offered to people who need it most with support decreasing over time, so that people can move into medium or lower supported accommodation, and then on to independent living when they're ready.
The services are accommodation-based services with support for people with mental health needs. The services aim to work proactively with people in their recovery and provide personalised and flexible support to build confidence, resilience, and the skills needed for independent living.
The support provided includes assistance with:
Managing mental health issues
Medication management
Maintaining a safe living environment
Preparation for independence
Daily life skills
Help to find and access other services in the city
Support with alcohol and drug issues
Suicide prevention
Prompting with personal care
Accessing welfare benefits, preventing and managing debt, and
managing money
Support with physical health and nutrition
Accessing work and learning opportunities
Support to build a positive social network and engage in the wider
community

Brighton and Hove CCG commissions a range of crisis services within the Mental Health Urgent Care Pathway including: The Haven, the Mental Health Rapid Response Service (MHRRS), the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment services (CRHT) and the Mental Health Liaison Team (MHLT). Funding has been identified to develop a Crisis House which will provide pre-crisis support and short term accommodation to prevent an escalation of mental health crisis. The purpose of the service will be:
• To provide early and intensive support to prevent a mental health crisis
• To support people to regain stability in a safe and comfortable environment
• To create a co-produced, personalised plan that mitigates the immediate circumstances that led to their crisis
• To increase the range of community-based crisis alternatives to traditional crisis teams, A&E, inpatient care, within the integrated crisis pathway.

This is an advert to attend a market engagement event on 15th July between 10am and 12pm. Suppliers of services and accommodation are invited to attend a Mircosoft Teams online meeting where the service and accommodation expectations will be outlined.
The accommodation must be provided within Brighton and Hove City .
