The Adult Learning Service (ALS) sits in the Children and Young People’s Service Directorate of Liverpool City Council (LCC) and offers a broad curriculum of part-time learning opportunities across a number of subject sector areas. The major curriculum areas offered are: English and Maths, English for Speakers of other Languages (ESOL), ICT, Languages, Creative Industries, Beauty, Children’s Workforce Training and Health and Wellbeing. Provision ranges from non-accredited learning where outcomes support learners who are learning for personal, social and economic outcomes to pre-entry, level 1, 2 and a very small proportion of level 3 (offered as internal progression on children’s workforce provision).
