two.1.4) Short description

We are looking to procure Validators to be situated at all our tram stops to allow customers to validate their journey start and end under the new BBYB (Buy Before You Board) scheme. Customers will be required to do this at each end of the journey.

The Validators are expected to be in place and supported for twelve years.

The Validators will need to accept ITSO, cEMV, and Barcodes.

In total there are expected to be up to 250 Validators in place with an initial quantity of 132 installed on site together with the agreed number to allow testing and support.

The Validators will be outside in high volume high passenger areas, therefore the infrastructure shall need to be highly resilient.

Please note the Contract Value of £1,764,595 has been split into 2 components CAPEX and OPEX. Each area has a ceiling value and these are CAPEX £761,529 and OPEX £1,003,066, with the pricing schedule providing the detail on how we will measure these.
