The Camden Adult Substance Misuse, Treatment and Recovery Service offers: A single point of entry to substance misuse services, increased flexibility of where and when services are offered. Increased partnership working with stakeholders, A flexible approach to those experiencing multiple disadvantage, Support to families directly affected by substance misuse and to help minimise intergenerational substance misuse.

The integrated service will: Implement a treatment and recovery system which hold service users at its core and works alongside them to identify and develop both their personal strengths and to participate in designing the most effective delivery model for the service. Encourage and embed recovery within the service user community and across the borough. Reduce the harm to, and support recovery and resilience for, those family members who have been affected by someone else's substance use / misuse. And maximise the number of service users who achieve sustained recovery.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) contract modification notice, under the Health Care Services (provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally modified.

The modification was approved by the Director of Health and Wellbeing.

seven.1.4) Description of the procurement:

The variation is intended for the delivery of additional interventions in the financial year 2024/25.

These interventions include but are not limited to: criminal justice support roles, link workers to mental health core teams, acute hospital liaison, development of women's only spaces, increased prescribing and medication, criminal justice peer support project, recovery workers, women's recovery motivator, drug & alcohol service psychologist, recovery motivator, adult social care multiple disadvantage drug & alcohol link worker.

This will strengthen the current service offer supporting Camden in achieving the required outcomes of the grant (which are outlined in the National Drug Strategy).

Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):

The modification is effective from 1st April 2024 at a total cost of £2,313,000.

The current contract permits for variations in Years 1-3 to reflect Supplementary Substance Misuse Treatment and Recovery Grant allocations. Support to families directly affected by substance misuse and to help minimise intergenerational substance misuse.
