NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (referred to as the Commissioner) are inviting suitably qualified providers to attend a virtual Market Engagement Event in relation to the Provision of an NHS Talking Therapies Service.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The service shall provide community orientated, evidence-based psychological therapies to adults in Derby and Derbyshire with 'common' mental health problems - aligned to the NHS Talking Therapies Manual (2023) (formerly known as Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT))

The service shall be flexible and responsive to the population needs and operate a biopsychosocial model of care. The service will need to support individuals approaching treatment, by taking their needs into consideration to plan holistic and integrated interventions. The service will work closely with local communities, statutory and voluntary sector providers, and a range of other partners as part of a system wide approach. The service will need to work collaboratively with system partners to ensure that pathways are developed to achieve excellent patient experience for people who require the service or related support, including support that relates to the wider determinants of their health and wellbeing.

The purpose of this advert is to invite the market to engage, to invite feedback on the draft specification (available via the e-tendering portal), and to clarify and communicate other elements of the model/process.

As part of this engagement, and to facilitate the above, the commissioner will be requesting providers to complete and submit a market engagement questionnaire (available via the e-tendering portal) and is also inviting the market to register to attend an online market engagement event, which is scheduled for Wednesday the 15th May 2024.

The deadline for registration to attend the event is 17:00 on Monday 13th May 2024.

The deadline for submission of the questionnaire is 17:00 on 17th May, however, commissioners would be grateful if this could be submitted by 17:00 on 10th May, if possible, to enable review and feedback at the market engagement event on the 15th May 2024.

Please note this is a market testing exercise and does not commit the ICB to carry out any further procurement process. Current services will remain in place during this period in line with existing contracts and service level agreements.

Any future opportunity will be advertised in accordance with the regulations.

Please note, this Prior Information Notice relates to a service/contract in scope of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). Any future Procurement / Provider Selection Process conducted will be subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 will not apply.

4. to gauge the level of interest from the market of capable providers with capacity across the region to deliver the services noted above.
