The Hull: Yorkshire's Maritime City (H:YMC) Project ('Maritime Project') is an extensive £ 30m development across four sites and two historic ships (the Arctic Corsair trawler, and the Spurn Light Vessel), which will celebrate Hull's maritime history and heritage. A key element of the project is the renovation and refurbishment of the Hull Maritime Museum in Hull city centre, and the subsequent re-fit and re-display of the museum collections for public enjoyment. To further facilitate this development, the adjacent building to the museum, Dock Office Chambers, will be refitted as a storage facility for the museum's reserve collection. The Maritime Museum will also have an open storage area in the museum basement. This procurement is for the provision of storage solutions for both the Dock Office Chambers requirement (storage for the reserve collection), and for the Maritime Museum basement storage requirement.
