A contract was let in 2019 to Lorne Stewart for the provision of Servicing and Maintenance Contract to the Corporate Property Portfolio. The contract was let for a value of £11,230,225.19 and has been extend by up to 50% (complaint under PCR Reg 72).
This contract was let to amalgamate numerous smaller contracts and future demand was estimated based on historical spend however during the life of the contract demand for specified services has increased and thus there is now insufficient funds remaining on the contract to see through to completion (30th April 2024). Due to the complex nature of requirements the council wish to direct award additional works to Lorne Stewart to see the contract through to completion, allowing sufficient time successfully re-procure and implement a new agreement.

A contract was awarded in 2019 to Lorne Stewart for the provision of Servicing and Maintenance Contract to the Corporate Property Portfolio. The contract was awarded for a value of £11,230,225.19 and has been extended by up to 50%.
This contract was awarded to provide services on various areas of requirement and future demand was estimated based on historical spend however during the life of the contract demand for specified services has increased the cost of the award and thus to complete the contract there needs to be additional works that need to be undertaken leading to an increase in the funds that need to be provided of the contract to see through to completion (30th April 2024). Due to the heavily limited potential suppliers that provide the niche nature of the services required and as the services are required urgently and there is not enough time to undertake a full re-procurement considering the complex nature of requirements the council has, the Council wish to direct award additional works to Lorne Stewart which will be completed by 30 April 2024, allowing sufficient time for the Council to successfully re-procure and implement a new agreement and publishing an open call to tender.
