Scope
Description
Severn Trent are currently investigating the potential procurement of supply and installation of covers for a range of ASP (Activated Sludge Plant) tanks at up to 23 of our sewage treatment works with some sites having multiple ASP assets. Severn Trent is also considering the procurement of covers for its Liquor Treatment Plants.
The intention is to collaboratively work together with supplier(s) to identify the best solution for our sites. The purpose of the cover is to capture gas emissions from the mixed liquors in the tank, which constantly receives aeration with high airflow.
We require covers that can deal with air pressure and cope with a certain level of pressure fluctuation. As such the cover should be sealed to the tank and reasonable steps should be taken to minimise the leakage of gas. It is expected that extraction points will be required to remove the gas for processing.
