two.1.4) Short description

University of Exeter seeks to establish an online longitudinal cohort survey of 10,000 adults in England, running for three years (2023-26), to track people’s environmental attitudes, behaviours, health, and wellbeing, allowing us to determine whether these are changing, particularly for people with high exposure to biodiversity renewal.

Our minimum target sample is 10,000 people, living within England, and representing a range of socio-demographics. We want to attain as large a sample as possible, and are interested in understanding the maximum sample that can be achieved within budget..

The successful Supplier will need to recruit Participants in year one, and these participants will be invited to complete a repeat survey in the two further years. Those who do not repeat the survey will be replaced to ensure the same number of respondents each year.

We are seeking to establish a contract with a single supplier to perform the survey activities over a three (3) year fixed period.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

University of Exeter are aiming to establish an online longitudinal cohort survey of approximately 10,000 adults in England, running for three years from 2023-2026, to track people’s environmental attitudes, behaviours, health, and wellbeing, allowing us to determine whether these are changing, particularly for people with high exposure to biodiversity renewal. This will provide insights beyond the cross-sectional changes that are measured by Natural England's People and Nature Survey, and will be one of the first attempts to track individual environmental attitudes and how they respond to change through time.

Our minimum target sample is 10,000 people, aged 18+, living within England, and representing a range of socio-demographics. However, we want to attain as large a sample as possible, and are interested in hearing from applicants the maximum sample that they can achieve with the budget.

The successful Supplier will need to recruit Participants in the first year. In the two subsequent years, the same participants will be invited to complete a repeat survey. Those who do not repeat the survey will be replaced to ensure the same number of respondents each year, as far as possible maintaining the same overall demographics of the sample and the same proportions of urban/rural participants.

We are seeking to establish a contract with a single supplier to perform the survey activities over a three (3) year fixed period.
