EDF wishes to carry out pre-market engagement with potential tenderers to investigate the current market capability to design and build the Decommissioning Waste Processing Facility (DWPF) at Hinkley Point B power station in Somerset. This may inform EDF in the finalisation of the tender documentation, ensure that the requirements are effectively met and delivered in a procurement that meets market capabilities and requirements. It also provides procurement awareness for suppliers regarding this requirement.
