two.1.4) Short description

Prison Industries requires polycarbonate sheet in a variety of finishes and thicknesses to be used in Engineering and Woodworking workshops to manufacture goods for the prison estate. The Supplier(s) will be required to source, stock and deliver, as requested across the prison estate, a range of polycarbonate sheet products. Prison Industries overall manage industries in 95 public sector prisons in England and Wales, as well as some of the private sector prisons, and currently operate 465 workshops employing around 1060 staff and 15000 prisoners. 25 of these workshops are for Engineering and Windows, and there are 24 workshops for Woodworking. Both of these industries require polycarbonate sheet, and this requirement is divided into respective Lots to accommodate the different requirements for each industry.
