Description

Rosliston Forestry Centre - Doors and Glazing Replacement

Summary:

South Derbyshire District Council (SDDC) is seeking early market engagement with potential suppliers for the replacement of doors and glazing at Rosliston Forestry Centre. This is an opportunity for suppliers to visit the site, understand the project requirements, and contribute to shaping the final specification ahead of a formal procurement process.

Project Background:

Rosliston Forestry Centre is located within the National Forest at Burton Road, Rosliston, Swadlincote, DE12 8JX. The site comprises several buildings designed with sustainability and environmental priorities in mind. SDDC is exploring options to replace existing timber and Perspex elements with powder-coated aluminium frames and double-glazed units, improving durability, accessibility, and aesthetics in line with Equality Act 2010 compliance.

The works will include:

Visitor centre doors and façade upgrades

Front café doors

Associated glazed cladding and frame works

Integration with fire alarm systems for fail-safe operation
