Description

The Council is seeking a suitable supplier to deliver its Bikeability Training Service. Services shall comprise the delivery of the Bikeability cycle training across schools within Bracknell Forest funded by the Department for Transport and Active Travel England. The service is to be carried out to the standards set by the Department for Transport and Active Travel England. The current contract ends on 31 August 2026, The Council intends to award a new 1 -year Agreement ( with options to extend for up to 4 years on a 1+1+1+1 basis depending on available funding ) . The contract is to commence on 01 September 2026 to 31 August 2027. This programme supports the promotion of safe and active travel for pupils and will be delivered by a specialist cycle training provider.

The Total estimated value of the Contract if all extensions are utilised will be £475,000 (ex Vat). This value includes additional funding per year for extra-curricular activities. The value is solely dependent on continued annual funding and may increase or reduce over the life of the contract.

Description of possible extension:

The Council intends to award a new 1 -year Agreement commencing 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027. There is an option to extend for up to a further 4 years on a 1+1+1+1+1 basis.

Options

The right to additional purchases while the contract is valid.

The Council reserves the right, subject to availability of additional grant funding from Active Travel England or to commission additional training related and related activities during the term of the Agreement.

Such activities may include additional school holiday training, attendance at community events, and after school workshops or adult cycle training.

Any such services will be delivered within the scope of the pricing mechanism set out in the contract.
