If a separate food waste collection service is implemented collections could be fortnightly or weekly for up to 52 weeks per year and would reduce the amount of waste that would be disposed of through the commingled food and garden waste contract. Recycling Methods and licencesThe Council may consider appointing a supplier(s) who has a site which is not yet operational, but which does have a licence granted and the necessary planning approval in place. Should this lot be required, licences and accreditation should be in place prior to deliveries commencing and would need to remain in place for the remainder of the contract.
