This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) for a market engagement event for the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) to provide details of a project to provide training to staff based in Approved Premises(AP) in managing violence and aggression, so that they can fulfil their roles safely and with confidence.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
HMPPS are looking for a training provider to deliver to approximately 1000 probation staff working in AP over a 3 year period. HMPPS staff need to be trained in managing violence and aggression with particular emphasis on non-contact de-escalation techniques.
The training needs to be flexible combining face-to-face and virtual aspects to cover the needs of AP staff.
This market engagement event is to explain the high-level requirements of this procurement.
The aim of the event is to: -
Outline our plans, provide interested parties with prior notice of an impending procurement, receive feedback from providers on the plans and advise of next steps.
We would like to invite prospective bidders to attend a pre-market engagement event on Thursday 9th May at 2pm for approximately 1 hour via Teams. The session will be led by the MOJ.
