UKRI wishes to establish a Contract for the provision of an Inductively Coupled Plasma – Mass Spectrometer/Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS/MS) system at the BGS laboratories in Keyworth, Nottingham to achieve their scientific objectives.

The ICP-MS/MS system will be coupled to a variety of front end sample introduction systems (including solution nebulisation, HPLC, laser ablation), for the purposes of collecting elemental, isotopic, speciated and spatially resolved geochemical data. The geochemical data will be required to be integrated with other laboratory data and spatially referenced positional data from the laser ablation system.
