The Authority is seeking to award service contract/s with a principal purpose of engaging adults aged 19 and above to provide them with the required skills that will enable them to enter, and/or gain employment; apprenticeship/traineeship; or progress their employment with their existing employer; or progress their self-employment through the provision of Skills Bootcamps in accordance with the following requirements.
Provision of high-quality and in-demand Level 3-5 (or equivalent and unless otherwise stated in the specification) training across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority Area.
Skills Bootcamps aim to secure benefits for adults by giving them access to in-demand skills training and a guaranteed interview for a more sustainable, higher-skilled job and higher wages over time. The benefits for employers include helping them fill specific skills shortage vacancies, enabling them to become more productive, more quickly.

Description of renewals
It is not known whether the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority will secure any further funding or funding extensions from the Department for Education for the provision of Skills Bootcamps. If further funding or funding extensions are secured, CPCA may consider extending the initial contract with the successful supplier(s) for up to a further 12 months from the initial contract end date, by giving written notice to the Supplier no later than 31 March 2024 and a further 12 months, by giving written notice to the Training Provider no later than 31 March 2025. Each extension will be subject to:
• Funding and other approvals for subsequent years.
• Assessment of Need
• Satisfactory delivery performance, including performance against KPIs
• The understanding that outcomes can be delivered a maximum of 6 months from agreement end dates.
• Average Cost per Learner remains unchanged (adjusted for inflation).
