Scope

Description

Fire Strategy at Dedworth Middle School.

The removal of floating / fixed condemned Firewall from the hall area.

The creation of compartmentisation with th ereplacement of 30 Fire door sets.

Contingency for asbestos testing and removal if required.

Localised decoration around the areas noted above.

Production and issue of O&M Manuals

FIREDOOR SPECIFICATIONS

• All classrooms, offices, and meeting rooms will include vision panels in fire doors.

• Existing doors and frames will be removed and disposed of off-site.

• Year 5 and Year 8 corridors will require new surrounding frames to accommodate double door sets.

• All fire breaks and over-cladding will adhere to a 30-minute fire retardant rating.

• All door sets will be 30-minute fire-rated in oak veneer.

• Fire-rated hinges, handles, locks, and kick plates will be used.

• RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) will be provided before commencing work.
