Reason for not signing contract
Further to the commercial analysis undertaken, it has become apparent that costs associated with the current procurement have risen significantly and are now deemed unsustainable. In accordance with Section 55 of the Procurement Act 2023, and mindful of the statutory obligation under Section 12 to ensure Value for Money, the Authority considers that continuing with this award would not be in the public interest. It is therefore recommended that the procurement process be discontinued, the specification and price weightings reviewed, and a new procurement exercise commenced to better meet statutory objectives.
