Description
This contract is to supply custom made implantable devices and cutting guides to the NHS patients under the care of Cardiff and Vale UHB. This will include working closely with the design Dental Technologists based at the Cad Cam Department at the University Dental Hospital of Wales. The CAD CAM Department has been at the forefront in Cad Cam manufacturing for the past eight years. The supplier will print the designs generated by Cardiff and Vale UHB. The specialist services utilising this service are; Maxillofacial, Neuro, Orthopaedics, Spinal and Dental.
The requirements for this contract are to supply Cardiff and Vale UHB with custom made Class II and Class IIa implantable devices manufactured under a QMS standard of ISO13485. Items to include (but not limited to) those listed below. Please note a full list of consumables required for delivery will be included within the tender documents.
• Cranioplasty plates
• Mandibular reconstruction plates
• Cutting guides
• Orbital floors
• Plates/cutting guides for any part of the human skeleton.
This contract is for the supply (Printing) of the above-mentioned devices from Cardiff and Vale UHB's designs. There is no design element as part of this contract. The supplier is to manufacture implantable medical grade Titanium devices to the exact designs sent via STL file formats to a secure portal from Cardiff and Vale UHB. All identities are to be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Only quality management standards of ISO13485 are acceptable.
