Wrexham University is looking to create an immersive space that will be used for a wide range of activities from training scenarios for our students and industry partners through to development of immersive training content and supporting technologies.

Examples of its use include:
Use the immersive space for 3D modelling and virtual walkthroughs of architectural designs or engineering projects, allowing students to explore structural integrity, aesthetics, and functionality in a simulated environment.
Simulate different ecosystems and environmental changes, such as deforestation, urbanization, or climate change effects, enabling students to study impacts and mitigation strategies interactively.
Conduct experiments within controlled, immersive environments to study human behavior, cognitive processes, and social interactions in various simulated scenarios.
Investigate the effectiveness of immersive learning experiences on student engagement, retention, and performance across different disciplines.

The Immersive space will be housed in part of a new building on Wrexham University’s Plas Coch campus. This building works is due to be completed during Summer 2025 therefore whilst the procurement of the immersive suite technology will take place during 2024 with supply and delivery during Summer / Autumn 2024, the full installation of Immersive Suite would not be scheduled until September 2025.

The University is seeking to procure a contract To Supply and Installation of an Immersive Suite Solution. This will be a 5 year contract in total to include supply, delivery, installation and support and maintenance contract provision. There will be an option to extend the contract for a further 2 years (1 +1) subject to annual review and performance.
The supply of software and projection equipment which will combine to deliver an immersive suite solution space .
The Immersive space will be housed in part of a new building on Wrexham University’s Plas Coch campus. This building works is due to be completed during Summer 2025 therefore whilst the procurement of the immersive suite technology will take place during 2024 the full installation of Immersive Suite would not be scheduled until September 2025.
