Negotiated without a prior call for competition

  • Additional deliveries by the original supplier

Explanation:

A new five-year Education Programme in Sierra Leone is being developed to begin implementation September 2022. The gap in implementation between the two programmes creates a major risk; both in terms of stopping critical support to the education services, but also a reputational risk for FCDO due to the size of the programmes and as the lead donor in Sierra Leone. A further 6-month extension will bridge the gap to ensure support to girls' education is maintained and ensure a responsible transition to the new programme and suppliers.
