This contract modification will increase the contract value by an additional 50% (£1,350,000) and increase the contract period from 3 September up until 31 March 2025 to allow for the continuity of services to be provided by Ernest Young to assist the teams in the delivery of the remaining EdIS Programme projects up until the initial programme end phase in March 2025.

seven.2) Information about modifications
seven.2.1) Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):
The Education Authority plans to modify a contract in accordance with Regulation 72(1)(b) of the Public Contracts Regulation 2015. The modification will increase the
value of existing Programme Assistance Services to support the delivery of the EdIS Programme (Contract Finder publication date of 21
September 2021) by 50% of the original and previously modified contract award amount. Additionally, the contract term has been increased from 3 September up until 31 March 2025 to allow for the continuity of services to be provided by Ernest Young to assist the teams in the delivery of the remaining EdIS Programme projects up until the initial programme end phase in March 2025. The contract modification will facilitate the continuity of programme assistance services to support the on-going delivery of the EdIS Programme projects

Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.
Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:
The modification will facilitate the continuity of the assistance and support to the EdIS Programme to effectively deliver multiple EdIS project requirements and demands across its five different workstreams.
The anticipated modification increase equates to GBP 1 350 000. The overall new modified contract value is GBP 5 400 000. No aspect of the modification will alter the overall nature of the current contract as the scope of services will remain unaltered
