two.1.4) Short description

NHS South-East London Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the London Borough of Bromley (LBB) have dual and overlapping responsibilities under the Mental Health Act 1983, NHS Act 2006, Care Act 2014 to provide prevention, assessment and

diagnosis, treatment and social care support for people experiencing mental health challenges or who have mental ill health.

The ICB and LBB, with other local partners, have jointly agreed the Bromley Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy which sets out a delivery plan to

(i) deliver the ICB/LBB statutory duties around mental health and wellbeing and

(ii) to make improvements across mental health and wellbeing services in the borough.

At the heart of the Bromley Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy are the voices of patients and service users who rely on good mental health services in Bromley. Since the strategy was first adopted by Bromley Council and the local NHS it has

ensured that patients and service users are at the forefront of shaping and designing their own service offer.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

NHS South-East London Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the London Borough of Bromley (LBB) have dual and overlapping responsibilities under the Mental Health Act 1983, NHS Act 2006, Care Act 2014 to provide prevention, assessment and

diagnosis, treatment and social care support for people experiencing mental health challenges or who have mental ill health.

The Bromley Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy sets out a joint vision to support communities and individuals to have improved mental health and wellbeing. The strategy sets out an approach in which the Council and local NHS will work together

with partners to prevent children, young people and adults reaching a crisis point through the provision of a strong prevention and early intervention offer. It also puts

in place a joint plan for the provision of a number of important services for people with mental health challenges, including good advice and information, talking therapies and counselling, employment and training schemes, mental health support

in schools and supported housing.

The Bromley Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy is underpinned by a comprehensive needs assessment which sets out the evidence base for community and inpatient mental health and emotional wellbeing services in Bromley. The Bromley Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy sets out how LBB and the ICB

will together commission a range of prevention and early intervention community mental health services including the Bromley Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub.
