1.1 In June 2015, NHS England Chief Executive Simon Stevens announced that Essex would be one of three areas in England where local health and care organisations will work more closely together to make improvements for patients as part of the new “Success Regime”.
Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSE) officially merged together as one organisation on the 1st April 2020. The MSE group of hospitals comprise of three acute hospitals located at Southend, Basildon and Chelmsford. Included within this group of hospitals are a number of smaller satellite sites and buildings.
This merger provides the trust with huge opportunities to align its services, attract the best staff and offer excellent career opportunities.
