seven.2.1) Description of the modifications

The modification to the contract for these additional services is required to ensure that DWP are meeting their high-level strategic aims of the Building Information Strategy (BIM). The services required by DWP to launch the strategy have been much more significant than originally envisaged. This modification to the contract is to establish support to the BIM Project, and the strategy for a BIM Pilot with high level technical support required from the supplier, which was also not envisaged.

seven.2.2) Reasons for modification

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire.

Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:

And also to avoid the potential significant duplication of costs onboarding a different supplier.
