two.1.4) Short description

The Borough Council of Calderdale is seeking expressions of interest from bidders interested in providing a service that delivers educational psychology support for children and young people across Calderdale. The service will have a strong focus on supporting the Council to meet its statutory duties in relation to the provision of educational psychology assessments, advice and support to inform the Educational Health Care planning process and Educational Health Care reviews. The provision will be for children and young people aged 0-25 years, in early years settings, schools, academies, post-16 provision, educated at home, and youth offending services in Calderdale; who are referred by the Special Educational Needs team. The provision will include an element of support for the local authority in various aspects of Educational Psychology work, such as training, strategy, practice supervision and dispute resolution. The duration of the contract will be for a period of three (3) years with an option to extend for up to a maximum of 2 years. The total indicative budget for the full term is £1,576,921 (which includes an amount for year-on-year increase in demand from the year one budget of £258,075).
