In June 2022 Severn Trent Water carried out a site security systems and equipment category market testing RFI exercise via Achilles.

Following development of our site security category strategy for AMP 8 we will be approaching the market via a regulated procurement event using FTS.

The Main Security tender event will encompass several specialist "Lots" and contracts to enable site security systems and equipment to be upgraded and maintained across the Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy geographical footprint, and covering the AMP8 period (2025-2030) e.g., as

*Lot 1 Electronic Security (Capital framework / Maintenance agreements)

*Lot 2 Physical security (Capital framework only)

*Lot 3 Security IT network services (Maintenance agreement only)

*Lot 4 Security fencing and gates (Capital framework / Maintenance agreement[automatic gates] )

*Lot 5 Tier 1 Aggregator (encompasses Lot 1/2/4) (Capital framework only)

The outline procurement timetable is to commence the main security tender event in 2Q of 2023, and execute contract agreements in 1Q 2024.

Each Lot contract framework agreement or maintenance service agreement will be awarded on its own merits.

There is no "maximum number of lots" prescribed, however due to the specialist nature of the services required in each "Lot" we expect "tier 2" specialist organisations to be more likely to be able to fulfil the requirements of the Utilities, in each sub-category "Lot" requirement. (Except Lot 5 which is an aggregate Lot for major projects)
