Health Education England is inviting quotations to provide an academic supervisor function to speciality registrars on the Public Health Training Programme through the provision of academic learning sets on behalf of Health Education England (working across the West Midlands) commencing on 7th July 2022 – 6th July 2025.
Detailed Requirements
The academic learning sets will have the general aims of:
• helping Registrars achieve key area 8 and other relevant learning outcomes of the curriculum
• stimulating academic research consideration, in particular in service settings
• enabling opportunities for academic teaching
• providing an opportunity for peer support, academic reflection, shared learning, career progression

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Health Education England are responsible for delivering medical and dental postgraduate training programmes across the West Midlands. The General Medical Council (GMC) is responsible for the regulation of education and training throughout a doctors’ career, from medical school through the Foundation Programme and specialty training, including general practice training programmes, to continuing professional development. The GMC sets the standards for the delivery of these training programmes and quality assures the delivery of training against them. Current versions of the GMC’s standards can be found on the GMC’s website: www.gmc-uk.org. One of the mandatory responsibilities of Health Education England is to provide expert support and guidance to doctors throughout their postgraduate training years and to support the General Medical Council (GMC) in its role in regulating the medical profession.
