seven.2) Information about modifications

seven.2.1) Description of the modifications

Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):

The contracting authority is enacting the extension clause allowable within the contract for 6months. The contract is currently due to end 13th April 2025. This modification will change the contract end date to 10th October 2025. The new contract value will be £2,452,214.016 including the extension.

The effective date of the modification is 13/04/2025.

The service provision will remain the same, nothing has changed other than the extension period.

seven.2.2) Reasons for modification

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire.

Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:

The contracting authority is enacting the extension clause allowable within the contract for 6months.

The Provider must be within the county boundaries of Sussex and Brighton & Hove
The Provider must be able to be incorporated within the natural clinical flow of local community services
The SPFT MDT must be able to access the patients as though they are in an SPFT bed
The Provider must be able to offer all gender services on the same site.
There are limited Providers in Sussex that fit the above, the only alternative has no capacity to step up in time to meet requirements
