The objective of this project is to rationalise, update, and consolidate engineering and materials management services for the Culham Campus to provide a central facility in support of wider UKAEA missions and objectives over the coming decades.

The provision of accommodation for the new building comprises two main elements, a larger volume the “functional block” with generous internal heights and good vehicular access, and a smaller volume to the front of the building the “administration block” for the supporting office accommodation and main entry.

UKAEA is targeting a sustainable new building that meets ambitions for a near net-zero campus, built to BREEAM Excellent standard.
