The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is looking for a world class design team to create an exhibition within the UK Holocaust Memorial. The exhibition will enable visitors to understand the scale and nature of the Holocaust-the murder of six million Jewish men, women and children and the Nazi persecution of other groups and to see it from a British perspective; it will show how the crime of genocide has been committed repeatedly in the years since the Holocaust; and it will challenge visitors to take responsibility to stand against prejudice and hatred in the modern world.
The challenge is to ensure that the exhibition is engaging, emotive and confronts visitors with the immense human calamity caused by the destruction of Europe’s Jewish communities during the Holocaust, generating a sincere commitment to mourn, to remember and to act.
The content will be delivered primarily through Audio Visual exhibits and the exhibition will be located in a purpose-built underground space of 1200m2 adjacent to the Palace of Westminster.
The design team will have outstanding creative skills in AV / TV / Film delivery and interpretive exhibition design to make the digital exhibits physical and to create a powerful, emotionally engaging and relevant visitor journey.
