Liverpool City Council commission a new, more prevention focused child, family and adult healthy weight service. The intention is to transform our existing weight management services by scoping an offer that is more prevention focused and which focuses on early intervention. This will allow us to provide effective provision and behaviour change interventions for a wider range of residents (an estimated 12,338 children 4-11 years old have excess weight, and 144,862 residents 16+) .
