Supply, installation and maintenance of traffic signal equipment of 4 sites:
1) Holywell Street Junction,
2) Markham Road Junction,
3) B6179 / Bywell Lane, Kilburn
4) A57 High Street West, Glossop
The Council are currently investing in the upgrade of a number of traffic signals assets on key routes across the County to:
• Utilise new ITS systems including SCOOT based UTC
• Promote sustainable transport
• Improve air quality
• Improve energy efficiency
• Reduce delay on our network
This procurement includes several key junctions in Chesterfield and the wider area that will play a vital role in our management of traffic within these areas. We are looking to commission a partner organisation to ensure delivery of the designs – working closely with ourselves, the designers and our civils installation teams to ensure we meet the challenges presented by current traffic conditions whilst ensuring future strategic management is achievable.
