NSS is coordinating the procurement of a solution capable of supporting the delivery of Endoscopy pathways.

An “off the shelf” solution is sought; however, solutions that need further development to meet requirements may also be of interest.

Three companies, currently provide the endoscopy reporting systems’ software. Endoscopic procedures are carried out at 36 sites across Scotland incorporating 163 stacks which capture endoscopic images.

Electronic reporting and image capture is required across specialities. This is a market testing exercise and the information gathered will allow NSS to determine their options.

NSS is coordinating the procurement of a solution capable of supporting the delivery of Endoscopy pathways.

Electronic reporting and image capture is required across specialities.

Functional and non-functional requirements are being developed in partnership with NHS Board clinical, services and technical staff.

NHS Scotland’s Digital Strategy aims to support the requirement for a ‘Once for Scotland’ approach and, wherever possible, a preference for cloud-based systems.

One endoscopy reporting system that covers the following endoscopy specialties is required:

- GI endoscopy including surgical in theatres.

- Bronchoscopy

- Cystoscopy

In the future, we may be interested in other areas including, but not limited to:

- Gynaecology

- ENT
