The BFI has secured funds to invest in essential works to its public venue at BFI Southbank in this financial year (FY21/22 running Apr 2021 to Mar 2022). This unique public building on London’s South Bank is home to 4 cinemas, BFI Reuben Library, Mediatheque, café and restaurant. An integrated team of designers and construction professionals is needed to support this programme of works and to deliver technically controlled and coordinated, improvements and enhancements to some important front of house spaces within the venue as well as rationalising/reconfiguring and technically upgrading some key back of house areas and support systems. Construction value for the BFI Southbank Minor Works Programme (2021-22) is in the region of £1m with the possibility of works continuing beyond March 2022 should further funds become available.
