The BBC requires a partner to deliver augmented engineering capacity as follows;
Lot 1 - an onshore partner to provide individuals to augment BBC teams in BBC locations in the UK. The roles required will include, but are not limited to; software engineers, test engineers, architects, and dev ops specialists.
Lot 2 – a nearshore partner ( +- 2 timezones GMT) to provide full agile development teams* to support work package based delivery. The roles required will include, but are not limited to; team leads, software engineers, test engineers, and dev ops specialists. *e.g. 1 technical team lead 4 developers and 2 testers.
The requirement is to be procured by means of a Framework Agreement divided into up to 2 Lots. BBC intends to appoint 1 supplier to the Framework to each lot.
The Framework Agreement for each Lot will have a term of 3 years commencing in November 2023 and ending in November 2026. The Agreement for each Lot may be extended at the BBC’s discretion by up to 2 successive 12 month periods.
Spend is estimated to be up to £32.5m for Lot 1 and up to £42.5m for Lot 2 with a total maximum estimated spend over the 5 year term for both Lots of £75m.

In the case of technology requirements, the BBC may involve its technology partner (Atos IT Solutions and Services Limited) to assist in the scoping and drafting of invitations to tender and/or the evaluation of tenders. However, the final decision as to which is the most economically advantageous (by reference to the award criteria) will be made by the BBC. The awarding authority reserves the right not to award a contract and to annul the procurement process at any stage. Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in sterling and all payments will be made in sterling. The contract shall be subject to English law. The awarding authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest, or any tender and reserves the right to accept part of a tender unless the tenderer expressly stipulates otherwise in the tender document.
