two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit, on behalf of Coventry and Warwickshire Clinical Commissioning Group are looking to run a market engagement event for providers who are suitably qualified and experienced in providing packages of care to patients who have a diagnosis of Learning Disabilities and/or Autism with highly complex needs and require high levels of support with most aspects of their daily life and may present with behaviours which challenge services and associated risks.

The CCG is, in this instance, looking to procure a placement for one patient. An anonymised service specification for the individual concerned will be sent to organisations wishing to attend the event.

Given the needs of the individual concerned, the CCG feels that it is possible that their needs may be best satisfied by more than one provider. The CCG would look to contract with a single provider, but acknowledges that it may be helpful for the market to consider the needs of this individual in an environment which enables collaboration. The event will therefore look to explore the following areas:

• An overview of the case involved

• A general outline of the envisaged service specification with an opportunity for providers to feedback as appropriate

• An outline of how the commissioner envisages the packages being delivered, again with an opportunity for providers to feedback on this as appropriate

• Discussion around the envisaged financial envelopes for each package

• An explanation of the envisaged procurement approach, again with an opportunity for providers to provide feedback around the approach.

• Time for providers for interact with one another and with commissioners on an informal basis.

The event will be held at the CCG's offices at Westgate House in Warwick on Wednesday, 18th May. Providers are required to book tickets via Eventbrite in order to attend and are advised that they should limit attendees to no more than 2 individuals per organisation. In order to facilitate and encourage conversation and interaction the CCG will provide a light lunch.

Providers should use the following link to book themselves onto the event: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/market-engagement-event-for-complex-community-care-package-tickets-333597578337.
