Background
Hampshire Country Council Public Health and the Isle of Wight (IOW) Public Health team are seeking to procure an exciting new service to deliver the NHS Health Check catch-up programme.
This catch-up service is required due to the backlog of residents not invited for an NHS Health Check during the Covid-19 Pandemic. NHS Health Checks are currently provided in Hampshire and the IOW through general practice, however not all practices are able to restart the programme and/or deliver catch-up of those outstanding over the pandemic period. The provider of this service will therefore work closely with general practices who have opted-in to support NHS Health Check delivery in this way.
We anticipate this service could be provided by a variety of organisations including GP federations, other healthcare organisations, leisure providers or others.
We are seeking to understand the market interest in delivering this programme and what options of delivery models are available to inform development of our service specification.
A market engagement event will be held via Microsoft Teams at 10:30am on Thursday 27th April 2023.
