two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is using this Prior Information Notice (PIN) as notification to inform bidders of the an up and coming tender opportunity and to provide immediate notice of the mandatory clinical presentation and site visit dates that will form part of this tender process.
The Supplier is required to provide routine adult haemodialysis services from a satellite facility at Lings Bar Hospital in Gamston, Nottingham, NG2 6PR
This is to support the Nottingham University Hospitals Renal and Transplant Unit, which is a major regional centre for the provision of renal therapy healthcare services. The unit includes two inpatient wards, a dedicated outpatient department and dialysis facilities based on the Nottingham City Hospital Campus plus satellite facilities in Kings Mill Hospitals, Ilkeston Community Hospital and the Lings Bar Hospital.
The Authority supports both peritoneal and haemodialysis treatments in the local community. The unit services currently support a population of approximately 1 million for dialysis with most patients coming from Nottinghamshire but also parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
The catchment area for adult transplants is roughly 1.79 million as patients from the Derby Renal Unit are referred to Nottingham for Transplantation.
The service is supported by twelve (12) renal physicians and five (5) transplant surgeons. It has dedicated clinical psychology and pharmacy input and has a range of nurse led services including AKI, anaemia and home therapies.
Bidders will be required to attend (via MS Teams) a clinical presentation as part of the tender process, which will be held on Friday 19th May 2023 between 10-11am. The Renal team will provide a high-level overview of the clinical services required to be delivered, and an outline of the wider renal services provided at NUH. This will be a mandatory requirement that all interested bidders must attend. Failure to attend the presentation will mean that bidders will not be able to bid for this opportunity.
Bidders must visit the satellite facility at Lings Bar Hospital in Gamston, Nottingham before submitting tender bid. The bidders have the opportunity to visit the site on Monday 22nd May 2023. This will be a mandatory requirement that bidders must meet as part of the tender process. Failure to attend the site survey will mean that bidders will not be able to bid for this opportunity.
Bidders please note – No clarifications questions regarding this procurement activity will be answered on-site. Bidders must submit all clarifications questions in relation to this requirement through the e-tendering portal.
The Trust will allow bidders to send a maximum of three (3) supplier representative(s) per supplier to attend the clinical presentation and site survey. The bidder may choose to send three (3) different supplier representative(s) to attend the clinical presentation and the site survey.
