two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Dog training and welfare services - The Military Working Dogs Delivery Team are looking for interested parties to supply Military Working Dogs with a variety of support, training and welfare items. The items required range from dog waste bags through to made to measure dog handler protective clothing (bite suits) and larger items such as dog agility equipment.
The Authority is considering placing a 12 month Enabling Contract (with the option for a further 1 year). The Authority will reserve its right to novate any contract awarded to a Management Agent during the contract period.
All items supplied are to be of a suitable standard and quality that enables the Authority to continue to meet the five dog welfare needs listed in the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and detailed in the DEFRA Code of Practice for the welfare of Dogs 2009.
Through the life of the contract the Authority may request that items are added, or removed due to evolving nature of the requirement. Further details shall be included at the Invitation To Tender stage.
