INTENTION TO AWARD NOTICE. North East and North Cumbria ICB (NENC ICB) are intending to award a contract to an existing provider following the PSR Direct Award Process C. The lifetime value of the contract is £1,328,610.00 Only activity performed is paid. Services are to be provided between 08 April 2025 and 31 March 2028.

Quality criterion - Name: The existing provider is satisfying the original contract and will likely satisfy the proposed contract to a sufficient standard in accordance with the 5 Key Criteria. The Relevant Authority Identified key criteria based on this being a referral service from general access dental practices where sedation is required. Only activity performed is paid. Used available data where possible as well as soft intelligence and linked to initial service specification. / Weighting: 100

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the Standstill Period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 07 April 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.

Making the award decision: NENC ICB Senior Primary Care Manager, NENC ICB Contracting & Procurement Sub-Committee and the NENC ICB Executive Committee.

Identified key criteria based on this being a referral service from general access dental practices where sedation is required. Evidence was gathered based on the existing provider providing this service for over 10 years with data and soft intelligence linked to the service specification gathered in line to each of the 5 Key Criteria.

Conflicts of interest were monitored and managed throughout this process and no conflicts were identified.
