two.2.4) Description of the procurement
EXPESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR THE SUPPLY AND SUPPORT OF HIGH CAPACITY MANET RADIO EQUIPMENT
Expressions of interest (EoI) are requested from interested parties for the supply and support of battery powered high-capacity MANET radio equipment. The equipment shall provide a means of reliably transmitting and sharing real time video and telemetry data over encrypted links between a number of nodes, one of which will be soldier mounted, in a camera system. The camera system may contain up to 3 HD cameras which are used to identify targets at range and a number of Remote Ground Sensing (RGS) nodes which feedback to an Android based command and control platform.
Note: Identification of an individual is considered to require 350 pixels over a 1.7m target.
The equipment shall be able to be easily updated with programmable waveforms as required by the operational scenario.
The equipment shall be light weight, compact, rugged, and able to operate in environments from desert and jungle through to temperate and arctic and capable of being transported using a combination of foot and road, sea, or air platforms as defined in Def Stan 00-035.
Product details, Technical Data Sheets and other supporting material considered necessary by interested parties to clarify the Technical Readiness Level of what is available will be acceptable and shall be treated in the strictest confidence.
As part of the assessment of bids the Authority shall involve its scientific and technical research facility, DSTL, to provide a technical assessment of the suitability of the equipment.
