two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Framework shall provide Water Testing and Water Risk Assessments on its Operational Estate to check for the presence of Legionella to support Network Rail with meeting its statutory obligation.
The service covers the testing of water supplies and associated remedial works to Maintenance Delivery Units/Signal Boxes/Power Signal Boxes/Ground Frames etc throughout Scotland Route. This involves the testing and investigation of water supplies and associated remedial works at specified locations throughout Scotland; advice on the management and control of the Water Systems at each site; provision of suitable Risk Assessment Log Books as required at each location; provision of additional documentation, advice on management and monitoring to minimise potential risk to staff and other personnel using the systems, and advise on proactive measures to control and reduce the risk and advise on the improvement of water quality.
Scotland's Railway is running a procurement event that will engage one (1) supplier in the delivery of water testing services, across Scotland. The procurement shall be awarded under a nil value NR27 NEC4 Professional Services Short Framework Contract.
The initial estimate of the value of works currently intended to be awarded under the Framework is approximately £1.5m over the effective period of the Framework.
Scotland's Railway has provided for a total Framework value of £3million, taking into account emerging work and unplanned or emergency works which are yet to be identified but which may become necessary during the effective period.
