DVSA is also responsible for the approval and audit services of training accreditation across numerous schemes including:
Driver CPC periodic training (DCPC)
Taxi Driver periodic training (TDPT in Northern Ireland only)
Drink Drive Rehabilitation (DDR)
Dangerous Goods Driver Training (DGDT)
DVSA is looking to put in place a contract with a single supplier which starts on 31 May 2024 to deliver the audit services for these schemes. It is anticipated that the audit of DGDT providers, courses and examinations will form part of the contract in August 2024.
DVSA seeks to let the Contract for these services for 2 years with an option for two additional 12-month extensions.
